Fred Counce Sr., 79, of Iuka, MS passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Tishomingo Community Living Center. He was born in Corinth, MS on December 13, 1939 to the late Raymond and Jeane Gross Counce and was a member of Iuka Baptist Church. Fred will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 1 pm until service time at Iuka Baptist Church. A celebration of Fred’s life will be held at 3 pm Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Iuka Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Johnny Hancock, Art Gaines and Dr. Ronnie Hatfield. Pallbearers include Jimmy Ramsey, Jeff Moyers, Brian Powers, Scott Woodruff, Chris Garner, and Jeff Butler. Interment will follow in Burnsville City Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Fred’s memory include his wife of 58 years: Bobby Counce of Iuka, MS; his sons: Fred Counce Jr. and wife Lori and Jason Counce and wife Kristy all of Iuka, MS; his grandchildren: Ashley Counce, Shannon Counce, Blake Counce and Laney Counce; his sister: Phyllis Scarpace and husband Fred of Memphis, TN; two nephews, other relatives and many friends.
