Fred Allen Bradford, 78, resident of Hickory Flat, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Union County Health and Rehabilitation following a brief illness.

Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Bradford will be at 1 PM Wednesday, December 13 at New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care with Bro. Brownie Tohill officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 Pm Wednesday, December 13 at New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery near Ashland.

Mr. Bradford was born January 26, 1945, in Hickory Flat, the son of the late John Franklin and Cora Denham Bradford. He attended the Hickory Flat School System and was employed as a truck driver for 40 years before retiring 25 years ago.

A Christian, Mr. Bradford will be remembered for his love of God, family, gardening, fishing, watching old westerns and Gunsmoke. A simple man who lived a simple life–he will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Survivors include two sisters, Blanche Riles of Potts Camp and Eloise Stephens (Steve) of Byhalia, one brother, Jimmy Bradford (Cheryl) of Potts Camp, several stepchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Goolsby and Betty Bradley and a brother, James Bradford.
