Franklin Edward “Tynt” Dotson – Obituary

Franklin Edward “Tynt” Dotson, 83, died Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Lecantro, Florida. Mr. Dotson was born on September 30, 1932 in Lawrence County, Tennessee, but he grew up in Burnsville, Mississippi. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in education and taught school for 39 years in Mississippi and Florida. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Gary Caveness. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5 – 7 PM on Thursday, April 28, at the funeral home. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Mr. Dotson is survived by two sisters, Ramona Ann Caveness and Johnnie Ruth Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Harvey and Mamie Lambert Dotson; three brothers, Charles Ward Dotson, Arthur Neal Dotson, and Richard Harvey Dotson, Jr.; and a sister, Ezmarea Reeves.
