Franklin Dee Davis, age 89 of Decherd, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at The Waters of Winchester. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Huntland on January 25, 1931 to the late Al and Alice Davis. Before his retirement, he was the owner and operator of L and D Grave and Vault Service. In addition to his parents, Dee was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Magalene; children, Johnny Davis, and Frank Davis; and siblings, William Davis, Benton Davis, Marshall Davis, Ines Davis, Bill Davis, and Florence Davis. He is survived by his loving children, J.B. (Cathy) Davis of Decherd, Jessie (Pat) Davis of Decherd, Mike (Rita) Davis of Murfreesboro, Rickey (Regina) Davis of Cowan, Reynolds (Janet) Davis of Huntland, Ray Davis of Court House, Virginia, Billy Joe Davis of Louisville, Kentucky, and Amy Davis (Jerome) Jones of Huntsville, Alabama; and sisters, Peggy Davis of Huntland, and Doris Davis of Skyline, Alabama. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Garner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Moore-Cortner Funeral Home to assist with burial expenses.
