Mr. Franklin D. Owens, age 84 of the Jacobs Mountain area of Scottsboro, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Prince Cemetery at Baileytown. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Mr. Owens is survived by his son, Michael Owens (Regina); daughter, Debra Owens Cathey; grandchildren, Alex Cathey, Jr. (Stephanie), Lauren Cloar (Jordin), and Sarah Owens; great grandchildren, Alex Cathey III, Maddox Cathey, Murphie Cloar, and McKenzie Cloar; brother, James Owens; and sisters, Veda Bishop, Mary Baugh, and Helen Dupree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Pearlene Owens; and brothers, David Owens, Stanley Owens, John “Bobby” Owens, and Harold Owens.
