Rev. Franklin D. Holt, age 75 of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, October 9, 2016 surrounded by his family during prayer. His family will receive friends Wednesday, noon until 2 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. Larry Smart and Bro. Jim Fiscus officiating. Burial will be in Guy Cemetery.
Rev. Holt was a native of Colbert County and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He pastored several churches in the area, was a Mason with the Washington Lodge and a member of IBEW Local 558. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Jean Holt, his parents, Jim and Minnie Holt and eleven siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Holt of Tuscumbia; son, Frankie Holt (Karen); daughters, Gina Grant (Pat), Penny Hites (David) Connie Turner and Michelle Elliott (Steve); step-children, Ralph and Jim Fiscus, and Melissa Duncan; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Stephen Grant, Tyler Elliott, Clay Hites, Frankie George, Steven Baumgardner, and Caleb Clement.
