Frankie Violet Bartenfield Elrod, 89, of Huntsville passed away on October 31, 2019.
She was born in Dalton,Georgia on 6/8/30 and attended local schools and a business school in Atlanta,
Georgia. She married Robert Samuel Elrod and they lived in Huntsville for many years. Frankie worked in the city
school system in Dalton, Georgia, Winchester, Tennessee, and in Huntsville, AL, from which she retired.
Frankie is survived by her two sons Mike (Susan) and Marty (Cee) and six grandsons Chase (Megan), Colby (Nicki),
Jacob, Chris, Garrett (Ivy), and Austin Elrod, and step grandson Jack Chamberlain (Mary); and four great-grandchildren
Kateryna, Beckett, Lochlan, and Isla Elrod.
Funeral will be held at Southwood Presbyterian Church on Nov. 6, 2019, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
