Frankie Joe Wingo – Obituary

frankieFrankie Joe Wingo, age 62, Spruce Pine, passed away on Monday, March 09, 2015 at his residence.

Joe graduated from Belgreen High School and attended Northwest Junior College. Joe was a member and a deacon at First Baptist Church of Phil Campbell. He was retired from Vulcan Materials after working there for 38 years.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Bro. Daryl Wingo and Bro. Tim Haney will officiate at the service. Burial will be at Wingo Cemetery, Spruce Pine.

He was predeceased by his father, Jack Abner Wingo; and mother, Louise Bert Humphries Wingo.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 41 years, Mary Jane Wingo; son, Joey Wingo (wife, Lashanda); daughter, Reyna Wingo; grandchildren, Hayden, Jace, and Jackson Wingo, Carlos Bucerro; brother, Jackie Wingo (wife, Annette); sister, Janet Pearson (husband, Joe); nieces & nephews, Daryl Wingo (wife, Myra), Chad & Holly Washington, Denise, Renea, Tiffany, Carla, Amanda, Troy, April, Rebecca, John. B.J., Andrew, Bob, Bradley, Stacy, Ty, Corey, and Chasity; and a host of friends.

The pallbearers will be Chad Washington, Kenneth Atkins, Ricky Hovater, Phillip Fleming, Eugene Ergle, Heath Voyles, Chris Southern, and Charles Wayne Taylor. The honorary pallbearers will be his friends of the Vulcan Material crew, deacons at First Baptist Church of Phil Campbell, and Billy Humphries.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all our friends for your visits, prayers, and everything that has been done for us.
