Funeral service for Frankie Joe Maples, 70, will be Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM at New Center Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Bates and Bro. Geoff Halbrooks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Maples died on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born March 11, 1947, in Morgan County to Glenn Oakley Maples and Edith Parker Maples. He was a member of New Center Baptist Church and was the Assistant Manager in the Parts Department at Neely Coble for 28 years. He loved hunting, auto racing and Alabama Football. He loved hearing his grandson, Brayson, say to him “Hey Pa”. In honor of Frankie Joe, the family requests that you wear your Alabama Apparel or your favorite team apparel for the service. Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Christina “Sissy” Maples, a brother: J.T. Maples and a sister: Glendell Terry McCaghren.

His faithful wife of 48 years and loyal caregiver of the last several years: Brenda Harber Maples

Jody Maples
Three Brothers:
Jimmy Maples (Charlotte),
Avery Maples (Carol) and
Larry Maples (June)
Two Sisters:
Kathryn Monk (Frank) and
Tammy Whitten (Randy)
One Grandson:
Brayson Maples
Pallbearers will be Family & Friends.

In lieu of flowers: family requests memorial donations be made to the New Center Baptist Church Building Fund or to the charity of your choice.
