Graveside Services for Mrs. Frankie Heath Gravette, age 76 of Lineville, will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Clay County Memory Gardens with Bro. Brandon Johnson and Bro. David Haynes officiating.

Mrs. Gravette passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Grandview Medical Center. Mrs. Gravette was born in Goodwater and was a lifelong resident of Clay County. Following her graduation from Bibb Graves High School, she attended Nunnelly College (Now known as Central Alabama Community College) in Childersburg and obtained her degree in Business and Accounting. Mrs. Frankie worked for Alfa Insurance for nearly 40 years as a Supervisor for Customer Service Representatives until she retired. Following her retirement, she was the Owner of the Ivy Cottage for 10 years, and most recently was the owner and operator of Hometown Flowers and Gifts for the last 8 years. Mrs. Frankie enjoyed spending time with her fur babies and volunteering her time at the Clay County Animal Shelter. She was always on the go traveling with her family, shopping, or playing bingo at the local community centers. Mrs. Frankie was known for her quiet and reserved nature, choosing to be seen but not heard. She was soft spoken, yet old school. She was nurturing and caring to her loved ones and dear friends. Mrs. Frankie was a loving mother, grandmother, Great-Grandmother and sister.

Mrs. Gravette was survived by her daughter, Susan Burdette of Lineville; two grandsons: Dustin Pate (Aundrea) of Ashville and Taylor Pate of Lineville; 5 Great-Grandchildren: Fisher, Willow, Finley, Cash, and Ada Pate; her step-daughter, Amanda Gravette Crow of Ashland; Step-Granddaughter, Annalyce Crow; and her nieces: Karen Slauson and Marcia Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Eltham and Cornelius Heath; her husband, DeWitt Gravette; one sister, Dorothy H. Vaillancourt; one brother, Julius E. Heath; one nephew, Ken Heath; and her step-son, Thomas Gravette.

Active Pallbearers will be Dustin Pate, Taylor Pate, Ryan Poe, Roy Slauson, Jeremy Jarrell, and Michael Portera. Honorary Pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.

Her visitation will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The family kindly requests no food and requests no flowers, instead they would prefer donations be made to the Clay County Animal Shelter: P.O. Box 194, Lineville, AL 36266.
