frankieFrankie Edward Murphy, 74, of Iuka, Mississippi, died February 21, 2015, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. Frankie was a loving husband and father. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was described as a “Jack of All Trades” and he mastered many of them. Frankie had many hobbies, ranging from flying airplanes to anything outdoors. He enjoyed camping with his family and friends. Those that knew Frankie best will admit that he loved to aggravate and pick at people constantly. He was also a true outdoorsman. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., Monday, February 23, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 24, at the Iuka Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time at the church on Tuesday. Services will be officiated by Dr. Johnny Hancock and Bro. Kevin Hatfield. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Buddy James, Allen Murphy, Billy Phillips, Danny Barnes, Ricki Hill, and Jeff Yarber. Honorary pallbearers include all Men’s Sunday School classes of the Iuka Baptist Church, the regulars at Jack’s Holy Huddle group, Dr. Al Flannery, Doug Cutshall and Robert Dunavant. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Murphy of Iuka; his mother, Mildred Earnestine Marshall Murphy; 2 sons, Eddie Murphy (Starla) of Hernando, and Brodie Murphy (Kandis) of Marietta; 3 daughters, Joy Murphy of Vicksburg, Melissa Lynn (Chuck), and Amy Hatfield (Kevin), all from Marietta; 1 brother, James A. Murphy (Martha) of Ripley; 2 sisters, Betty Jo Bullock of Greenfield, OH and Patricia McBryde (Billy) of Ripley; 12 grandchildren; Kayla Smith (Chase), Tyler Wells, Shelby Cranfield (Matt), Courtney Green, Gary Green, Clay Green, Shane Lambert, Savannah Murphy, Lydsey Murphy, Brayden Murphy, Paisley Brown, Kaleb Hatfield, Rebecca Hatfield, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Murphy, and 1 sister, Chris Ritter. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iuka Baptist Church Bus Fund or the American Cancer Society.
