Frankie DeLois Casteel Linville was born in Savannah, TN on May 31, 1936 to the union of her parents the late Mr. James Loyas Casteel and Mrs. Velma Clement Barlow Casteel. Mrs. Linville spent her childhood in Hardin County, TN. In her young adult years, she met her husband Mr. J. L. (Dugger) Linville and the two would marry in 1953. The two would remain married until his passing in 2020 spending over 60 years together. They would make Hardin County, TN their home raising their son and daughter setting deep roots in the area.
Throughout her adult life Mrs. Frankie worked for many years as a seamstress having worked for Savannah Manufacturing for over 20 years.
She was deeply devoted to her family, always choosing her husbands and her children’s needs before her own. Throughout their childhood, she would often sew clothes for her children as well as curtains and other garments for her family and friends.
In her leisure time, she could be found cooking for her family, tending to her vegetable garden and canning the vegetables she grew during the summer to prepare for the winter months.
Mrs. Linville was also know for her talent in writing; writing the “Olive Hill News” segment for the Savannah Courier.
She was a deeply religious woman and was a long time member of the Olive Hill Baptist Church in Olive Hill, TN.
However, she held no other moments closest to her heart than the precious moments and memories made with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family members and friends.
Mrs. Frankie DeLois Casteel Linville passed from this life on September 25, 2026 surrounded by family in Savannah, TN making her stay on this earth some 90 years, 3 months and 25 days.
Those left to honor her memory include her son James Linville (Suzanne) of Savannah, TN; daughter Teresa Riley (Gene) of Olive Hill, TN; grandchildren Corben Jerrolds (Amber), Rose Lott (Josh), Josh Linville; great grandchildren Jayden Jerrolds, Jase Box, Cheyenne Linville and Jersey Linville; brother Ray Casteel, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members and dear friends
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her brothers Hassell Casteel, Wayne Casteel and Don “ Haydron” Casteel; sister Mary Ellen Wolfe
Visitation with the family will begin Sunday September 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm till 2:45 pm at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Savannah, TN. Grave Side services will be held Sunday September 27, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the Olive Hill Cemetery in Olive Hill, TN with Greg Eaton officiating.
