Frank David Smith, 83, of Arab entered his heavenly home on Friday, July 9, 2021, surrounded by his children.
Mr. Smith was born September 2, 1937, in Amory, MS. He received his degree from Mississippi State University and worked as a mechanical engineer for the Redstone Arsenal. He was a member of Arab Church of Christ where he served as an Elder for 38 years.
He was married to his sweetheart, JoAnn Noe Smith for 63 years. He was a godly man with deep spiritual conviction and great love of family. He and JoAnn shared many memories with the grandchildren with family trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, the Pancake Pantry and a stop for caramel corn for the return home.
He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Noe Smith; Daughter: Renae Smith Jackson; Son and Daughter-in-law: David and Kim Smith; Daughter and Son-in-law; Staci Smith Simmons and Alan Simmons; grandchildren: Katherine Jackson Frick and Michael Frick; Dalton Jackson; Sarah Leslie Smith Wright and Ben Wright; Sydney Smith Newell and Mitchell Newell, Connor Simmons Hughes and Cody Hughes; Channing Simmons Stewart and Dylan Stewart; Cole Simmons; great-grandchildren: Mary Lynn Wright; Todd Wright and Beckham Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents: Quinn and Verada Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Arab Church of Christ on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 12:00 pm. The family will have a time of visitation before the service from 10:00 am – 12:00pm.
