Frank Burns, 80 of Athens, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Burns was born November 30, 1939 to Ruben Jackson Burns and Mary Edna Matthews Burns.
Funeral services for Mr. Burns will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:50 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
He was a member of Marion Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Gey Burns; children, Belinda Kirk (Tony), Deborah Fowler (Sam), Tonya Strand (Jerry) and Tabitha Anderson (Phillip); grandchildren, Miranda Bowen (Justin), Andrew Kirk (Ashley), Nathan Fowler (Jocelyn), Sean Fowler (Kristi), Sherah Reynolds (Joe), Jacob Anderson (Samantha) and Colby Anderson; great grandchildren, Crimson, Constance, Lucas, Heath, Presley, Isaiah, Joel, Cora, Jenna and Evangeline; brothers, Charles Burns (Ann); sisters, Judy Abernathy (Wesley) and Wanda Woodfin.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Glenn Woodfin; one infant brother and one infant sister.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
