Francis Eugene “Dodie” Courington, age 79 of Oakman, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his residence.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Odom Memorial Cemetery. Derrek Connell will officiate.
Mr. Courington was preceded in death by his Wife-Carlene Courington; Dad-Claude Courington; Mom-Velma Courington; Sister-Meta Honna; Brothers-Gerald Courington, Bill Courington and Ken Courington.
He is survived by his Daughters-Veronica Scott and Rebamae Dunn; Sons-Kermit Scott (Paula) and Kelly Courington; Sister-Betty Jankowski; Brothers-Jim Courington, Tim Courington and Claude “Butch” Courington; Grandchildren-Chad Aldridge, Jennifer Blackwell, H.F. Scott, Camry Peoples and Dakota Dunn; 6 Great Grandchildren; Host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chad Aldridge, H.F. Scott, Dakota Dunn and Chris Brown.
