Francine Rose Blystone, 83 of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Hospice Family Care. Mrs. Blystone was born July 24, 1937 to Francis DiPiazza and Gwendoline Silvernail DiPiazza.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Blystone Sr.; 5 brothers; 2 sisters.
She is survived by her children, Chuck Blystone Jr. (Sharon) and Tim Blystone; grandchildren, Nicole Haller (Dustin), Eric Blystone (Aubree), Kyle Blystone (Megan), T.J. Blystone, Kelsey Blystone (Anthony) and Hannah Terpstra (Isaac); great grandchildren, Caleb, Penelope, Liam, Benji, Leila and Dominic; brothers, Andy DiPiazza and Tony DiPiazza; sister, Charlotte Vanderbos.
Fran loved spending her many years of retirement from GM trim plant with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching and trying out all of the latest finds on QVC, casino slot machines, and she surely scratched off her way to Heaven! She had a generous heart and giving spirit that everyone will remember. There wasn’t a soul who met Fran and didn’t consider her friend. She could strike up a conversation with just about anybody and she never left a thought unsaid! She certainly will have stories to tell when she reunites with her beloved Chuck and her angel sister Pat. Fran also enjoyed her friendships at the City Center Village in Decatur, Alabama very much.
A service will be held at a later date at Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, AL.
