Frances Virginia Hardaway  Frances Virginia Hardaway, 86, of Elkmont, passed away on Friday, January 30th, 2026, at her residence. Mrs. Hardaway was born on February 2nd, 1939, in Athens, Alabama, to Nick and Argie (Owens) Carr.

Mrs. Hardaway is survived by her husband, Jimmy Hardaway; sons Mike Hardaway (Ann) and Greg Hardaway (Donna), daughter, Karen Blankenship (David); grandchildren, Bryant Hardaway, Erin Vassar, Matthew Hardaway, Anna Spradling, Hope Sides, and Jake Blankenship; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hardaway will be February 3rd, 2026, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, at 2:00 p.m., with Mitch McCormick and Richard Garland officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Matthew Hardaway, Jake Blankenship, Jason Spradling, Keith Sides, Jay Vassar, and Kenneth Posey. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryant Hardaway and Cairo church members. Burial will be at Sandlin Cemetery.

Mrs. Hardaway was a member of the Cairo church.

The family requests no flowers. Instead, please make donations to Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham, AL; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; or Hospice of Limestone County.
