FRANCES STARNES
was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on December 22, 1923 the daughter of the late Arthur and Dora Culp Ray.
On August 2, 1941 she was united in marriage to Roy Hershel Starnes, who preceded his wife in death on May 12, 2006.
Mrs. Starnes worked for 20 years at Brown Shoe Company and she also was an Avon Lady. Mrs. Starnes enjoyed canning, gardening, embroidering and she enjoyed Southern Gospel music.
She departed this life on July 31, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 9 days.
Mrs. Starnes is survived by her children, Teresa Starnes of Germantown, Tennessee and Robert Starnes of Nashville, Tennessee
two grandchildren, Lucia Starnes and Inglish Starnes Maffitt
one sister, Eddie Mae Ray of Waynesboro, Tennessee and one brother, Warren Ray of Oakland, Tennessee
she is also survived by a special niece and daughter, Glenda Hickman of Savannah, Tennessee
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Edith Jeter
