Frances Lefan Newman, 88, of Killen, Alabama, passed away Jan. 22, 2017, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. Mrs. Newman was born in Iron City, Tennessee and was retired from Chrysler. She was a member of Atlas Church of Christ.
Mrs. Newman is survived by son, Michael Newman and wife, Deborah; two grandchildren; and sister, Wanda Powers. She was preceded in death by parents, Matthew Allen Lefan and Rachel Hardwick Lefan; husband, Frank Newman; and sister, Allene Hurst.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, from 11 a.m. until noon at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at noon with Brother Miles Stutts officiating. Burial will be in Loretto Memorial Gardens.
