Frances Jewel Holt, age 83, of the Crooked Oak community, died Monday, August 19, 2013. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, August 22, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Funeral services will be held Friday, at 3:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Seth Hood will officiate. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Holt was born in Cullman County, but lived most of her life in the Crooked Oak community. She was a simple and plain lady, who was much beloved by her family. Preceding her in death are husband, Roy Holt; parents, Frank C. and Lula V. Smith; grandson, Randy Holt, Jr.; three brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include children, Joyce Fountain (Larry), Howard Holt (Jackie), Brenda Smallwood (Jerrell), Norman Holt, Diane Romans, Andy Holt (Marsha Ann), and Randy Holt; sister, Seal Morgan; brother, Andrew Smith; fourteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Travis Holt, Matthew Romans, Kasey Holt, Jeffrey Smallwood, Shawn Holt, Jason Borden, Brandon Holt, and Cody Holt.
