Frances “Irene” Evans, 84, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 22, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Barry Barlar officiating.
Irene made friends wherever she went. She was known as the Dancing Queen in the Retirement Community. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and spouse of sixty-five years, Hoyt Evans.
Irene is survived by her children, Darlene Faulkner, David Evans (Jane), Michelle Johnson (Steve), and Jennifer Goodman (Doug); sisters, Glenda Austin, Eillen Williams, and Phylis Whisenant; grandchildren, Ken Faulkner (Sam), Ashley Briley (Tyler), Mandy Blaise (Sean), Jon Copeland (Amy), David Evans (Sean), Madison Newton (Bobby), Emily Goodman, and Briley Goodman; and great-grandchildren, Gavin Cummins, Lillian Faulkner, Mason Cummins, Madilyn Copeland, Ella Faulkner, Adam Copeland, Liam Copeland, Ramona Faulkner, Maximus Blaise, and Reef Blaise.
