Frances Irene Clark, age 87 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on September 23, 1934, to the late Joe and Villa D. (Weaver) Stewart. Over the span of her working career, Frances had been employed at First National Bank in Tullahoma and Bank of Chicago, co-owned Clark’s Filling Station and Clark’s Floor Covering, and served as the Activities Director at the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center for over twenty-five years. She was a clogging and line dancing dance teacher, member of the Franklin County Cloggers, and had formed the Good Time Guys and Gals Dance Group to perform at festivals and nursing homes. Frances had also served as a leader for Girl Scouts. She enjoyed working on stained glass projects and had participated in a project filming at the Wild Horse Saloon in which she and a few friends were featured as the dancers. Frances was a devoted member of the Winchester First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught the Kindergarten Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her siblings, Tommy Spencer, Jewell Spencer Cyree, Louise Spencer Cunningham, Rev. J.D. Spencer, Josephine Stewart Cleek, and Lois Stewart Armstrong; and husband, G. Kenneth Clark. Frances is survived by her loving daughters, Carol Clark (Tim) Fulmer of Estill Springs, and Donna Clark Dougherty of Winchester; grandchildren, Mark Scott Eatherly, Lindsey Fulmer (AJ) Ladd, and Anna Kathleen Dougherty; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10am-2pm on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. David Spencer and Rev. Wanda Spencer officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Winchester First United Methodist Church Music Ministry.
