Frances I. “Bay” Harbin, 82 of Joppa, was reunited with her husband, Burlin Harbin, when the Lord called her home Saturday August 19, 2017.
Mrs. Harbin was born April 14, 1935 in Blount County to Johnny Luther Allred and Beulah Mae Weaver Allred. She and her husband owned and operated a fruit stand for a number of years, including making flower arrangements and farm work. She enjoyed cooking, working in her yard and flower beds. She also loved Gospel Music and browsing Thrift Stores. Her husband of 50 years preceded her in death August 2, 2002.
She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Harbin is survived by her children and in-laws: Kenneth Harbin and Jeannie, Junior Harbin, Earnie Harbin, Norman Harbin, Faye Seay and Bobby, Peggy McCowan and Taylor and Patty Kay Harbin; her brothers and sister-in-law: Marvin Allred and Edward Allred and Shirley; sisters and brothers-in-law: Magdalene Filmore, Bell Newman and Alan, Gwnnell Newman and Grafton, Laura Ann Landman and G.W.; thirteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband: Burlin Harbin; her parents: Johnny and Beulah Allred; and her daughters-in-law: Vera Harbin and Helen Harbin.
Pallbearers are her grandsons: Ray Harbin, Anthony Harbin, Johnathon Harbin, Jason McCowan, Scottie McCowan, A.J. Robles and J.D. Harbin.
Honorary Pallbearers: Michael Kirtland and Justin Carnes.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday August 22, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Arthur Feemster and Milford Hays, officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday August 21, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
