Frances Hatfield Jones, 79, of Decatur, passed away Sunday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Jones Sr., her son, Michael Kevin Jones, parents, James and Mary Hatfield, brother, James Hatfield, Jr., and sister, Grace Ann Fine. Survivors include her son, Robert E. “Bobby” Jones, Jr.; sister, Pat Hatfield Hethcote; brother, Rick Hatfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and a wonderful caretaker, Donna Riddle.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bobby Jones Fund, 45 South Bethel Rd., Hartselle, AL 35640.
