Funeral Services for Mrs. Frances Elaine DeVaughn Bond, age 84 of Lineville, will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Springhill Christian Church at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Dan Keith officiating. She will lie in state from 10:00 until 11:00 at the church. Burial will follow at Lineville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Bond was born in Lineville and spent most of her life here. She was a God fearing, faithful woman that loved the Lord. Elaine picked up the nickname “Paper Lady” while spending 27 years delivering the Anniston Star. She was an active and faithful member of Springhill Christian Church for over 40 years. Yardwork, gardening and flowers along with watching the hummingbirds were some of her greatest joys. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt and loved spending time with her family both at home and church.

Mrs. Bond is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Engle and husband Terry and Pam Wiley; four grandchildren: Pamela Chaves (Miguel), Bradley Keef (Lauren), Hali Averette (Justin), Tiffany Battle (LaShamian); ten great-grandchildren: Cory, Tasha, Emma, Dante, Jacob, Elaina, Camden, Carter, Ryleigh and Kaleigh; 0ne great-great-grandchild: Ryder; three brothers: Carlton DeVaughn, Keith Fetner (Lisa), Paul Fetner; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and a wonderful church family.

Mrs. Bond is preceded in death by her parents: James and Sara DeVaughn; husband of 62 years, Wayne Bond; brother, Roger Fetner; sister, Barbara Fetner; and granddaughter, Rebecca Joyce.

Pallbearers will be: Paul Fetner, Keith Fetner, Miguel Chaves, Bradley Keef, LaShamian Battle and Shan Bloodworth. Honorary pallbearers are: Carlton DeVaughn, Terry Engle, Denna Cotney, Samantha Huggart, Sady Moore, Alicia Stamper, Erica Wood, David Holcomb and Roger Fetner.

Her visitation will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville beginning at 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and from 10-11 at the church before the service.
