Frances Dorthy Lee Yearta Hill “Dot”
Frances Hill of Athens, age 79, has gone to be with the Lord on November 19, 2025 after a long battle with various health issues.
She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22 at Spry Funeral Home officiated by Dwight Ridinger with interment following at Elk River Mills Memorial Gardens in Athens. There will be a visitation on Friday, November 21st from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Spry.
Mrs. Hill was a member of the 7 mile Post Rd Church and worked at Kroger and J & G, later retiring to be a homemaker. She was a very loved Christian woman and will be missed by many.
She was the wife of Don Hill (61 years), mother of three, Lisa Hill, Deresa Parkes (Mark), Donnie Hill (Piper), grandchildren, Christopher Ortiz (Jessica), Jay Posey (Miranda), Ryan Balch (Hallie), Five great-grandchildren, Autumn, Jaxtyn, Jynsyn, Wrenleigh, and Hadley as well as several nieces and nephews and beloved dogs, Rowdy and Barkley.
She is survived by her sister, Eva Griffin (Robert) and preceded in death by her father and mother, Wilburn and Vera Yearta, brothers, David Yearta, Eldridge Yearta, JW Pitts, Hubert Pitts, and Evans Pitts.
