Frances Carolyn Latture Bradley – Obituary

Frances Carolyn Latture Bradley died in Johns Creek, Georgia, Dec. 19, 2017. A brief memorial service for Frances will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Decatur, Alabama, on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at 11 a.m. Her ashes will be interred in the Memorial Garden at St. John’s.

Frances was born in Abingdon, Virginia, on Sept. 26, 1919. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles Henry Bradley, and her grandson, Jacob Price Fisher. Her parents were the late Sylvan Joseph Latture and Mary Elizabeth Cummings Crabtree Latture.

Frances is survived by her children, Michael Jennings Bradley (Carol Ann Simmons Bradley), of Cumming, Georgia, Carolyn Latture Bradley Proctor (Melvin Lester Proctor), of Hartselle, Alabama, Marilyn Margaret Bradley, of Chesterfield, Virginia; her sister, Barbara Latture Sierchio (Gerald Sierchio), of St. Petersburg, Florida; and her nephew, Walter Sylvan Latture (Dannie Lynn Latture), of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by grandchildren Laura Chambless Bradley Shack (Richard Keogh Shack Jr), of Johns Creek, Georgia, Joseph Bradley Fisher, of London, England; and her great-grandchildren, Thomas Charles Shack and Virginia Elizabeth Shack.

Frances was an active member of seven Episcopal churches in four states, (Virginia, Alabama, Florida, and Missouri), and she loved gardening, sewing, bridge, reading, and crossword puzzles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, Decatur, Alabama, the Community Free Clinic, Decatur, or charity of your choice.
