Mrs. Frances Ann Green Harris, age 92 of Lineville, Alabama passed away at her home on July 15, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Ben F. Harris and her parents, George Woodfin Green and Anna Ruth Bell Green McCrary.
Frances is survived by her children, Tim (Joan) Harris of Rockingham, Virginia, Dr. George (Brenda) Harris of Trussville, Alabama, Sharlene (Rodgers) Stout of Athens, Alabama and Will (Rachel) Harris of Fayetteville, Tennessee. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and one sister, Glinda Luther of Cantonment, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her one brother, Bill “Buster” Green.
Mrs. Harris was born in Montezuma, Georgia on April 12. 1932. She graduated from Lineville High School in 1950 and married Ben in January 1953. After raising her children, she went back to college and graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1982. She was a member of McCollum Baptist Church. Her passion was her relationship with Jesus, her family and quilting.
A memorial service is planned for August 10th, 2024 at 2:30 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville, Alabama. The visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gideons International or Lottie Moon.
