Four Arrested In Two Separate Arrests In Franklin County

RUSSELLVILLE-On Thursday, July 13 during a joint investigation between the Russellville Police Department and the Franklin County sheriff’s Office four individuals were arrested.

During the arrest approximately 2,500 Fentanyl pills were recovered and seized. during a traffic stop on Jackson Avenue in the city limits of Russellville.

Occupants of the vehicle, Joel Davis and Angel Morgan were charged after officers searched the vehicle and recovered approximately 1,00 Fentanyl pills concealed in the clothing of Morgan.

Morgan has been charged with drug trafficking and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Davis was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia.  It was discovered Morgan had outstanding warrants for unrelated drug charges along with Community Corrections violations.

On July 14, another drug investigation netted two more suspects on drug related charges.  Ayanna McCullough and Davontae Goodloe were arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking.  These arrests came after a two month investigation between the Franklin County sheriff’s Office and the Russellville Police Department.  During the arrest 1,500 Fentanyl pills were discovered and seized.

McCullough and Goodloe were together and arrested during a traffic stop.  At the time of the traffic stop the Fentanyl pills and $4,500 cash were recovered.  The Alabama Drug Task Force assisted in the July 14 arrests.

All of the suspects have been booked into the Franklin County Detention Center and are awaiting a bond hearing.  According to the authorities additional charges and arrests are pending.

Both incidents were the result of the Franklin County sheriff’s office and Russellville police department working together to remove the 2,500 fentanyl pills from the streets. The pills have a street value of more than $20,000.
