DECATUR-The Decatur Police arrested one woman and charged her with forgery on a report issued by Bank Independent. Here is how thye Decatur Police describe the arrest:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On October 3rd of 2013, the Security Officer for Bank Independent reported an incident of forgery to the Decatur Police Department. During the investigation, it was learned that Misty LaShane Shepard wrote and cashed a check on an account without the knowledge or permission of the account holder.
On October 10th of 2013, a warrant for Second Degree Forgery was obtained for the arrest of Shepard. On February 17th of 2015, Shepard was located and arrested by Officer Juan Penuelas. She was transported to the Decatur City Jail where she was processed and then transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $2,500 bond.”
