Floyd-Horne-1465232172Floyd Milton Horne of Lynnville passed away of a stroke on Saturday, June 4, 2016. He was 79 years old.
Floyd was a native of the Yokley Community. He was a graduate of Campblesville High School and served in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Harlingen, Texas. He retired from Bell South in 1985. After retiring he hauled lumber for Maury Fence Company and later hauled gas for Columbia Oil Company. He was a member of Lynnville United Methodist Church. Floyd Milton Horne was born on April 2, 1937.
He was the son of Carmel Horne and Ostene Pinkleton Horne and was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Bonds Horne and sister, Oma Fay Horne.
He is survived by his,
Son, Dewayne (Reathia) Horne of Goodspring
Daughter, Patricia (Dwayne) Nelson of Murfreesboro
sister, Bonnie Sims of Lawrenceburg
Grandchildren, Chasity (Cameron) Curtis, Will Nelson and Kellie Nelson
4 step-grandchildren, Nancy (Josh) Harris, Jamie Newton, Daniel (Chelsea) Nelson and Brandi (Justin) Harris
9 great-grandchildren
Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 9th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 10th at 11:00am in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Herring officiating.
Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery
