Floyd Glenn Jones, Sr., 68,of Killen, AL, passed away July 12, 2012 after an extended illness. He was a carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union 1209. Mr. Jones was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife Gwendolyn Watson Jones; sons, Floyd Glenn Jones, Jr. of Killen and Aaron Neal Jones of Pensacola, FL;his sisters, Frances Glover of Killen, Margaret Morris of Loretto, TN, Maelene Corum of Killen and Ellen Stafford of Hazel Green, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Reed and Mary Ester Jones; and his sister Mary Ann Jones.
Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2012 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ with Bro Andy Erwin officiating. The casket will lie in state from 12-1:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Watson, B.H. Parker, Ray Smith, Brian Jones, Owen Keeton, and Jimmy Wimpee. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Simmons.
