Mr. Floyd Austin, age 79 formerly of Haywood County, passed away at his home in Ft. Smith, AR, on Friday March 6, 2015.
He was born April 18, 1935, in Corinth, MS, the son of the late Irvin Thomas Austin and Ella Rose Fitzgerald. He lived in Haywood county most of his life. He also lived in Niles, MI, for seven years. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. He drove for Fleetline and PTL Trucking Lines, but his true occupation was being a farmer.
He is survived by his former wife, Elizabeth, of Ft. Smith, AK; his three daughters, Deborah Grady, Johnnie Carol Austin, and Anita Austin, his two sons, Ronnie Eugene, and Floyd Thomas, a niece, Pauline Elrod, a nephew, Danny Austin, his three brothers, Luther, Vance, and Mitchell Austin, and his many grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Charlie, and Raymond Austin; and sisters, Pauline Kelly, and Mary Ferge.
