Floy Ray Beckum Mobbs, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. She was a native of Columbia, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved her family, enjoyed reading, quilting, watching Atlanta Braves baseball, and playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas and Naomi Elizabeth “Betty” Lindsey Beckum; her husband, Charles Kenneth Mobbs, Sr; one son, Charles Kenneth Mobbs, Jr; three brothers, Tommy Beckum (Lucy), Billy Beckum (Fannie Mae), and Bobby Beckum (Mary Louise); four sisters, Marie Young (Danny), Ava McMeen (Monroe), Eva Coffee, and Joy Waufford.
She is survived by honorary son, Ben Boston (Shelley); six grandchildren, Kaitlin Elizabeth Mobbs (Helen), Justin Bramel (Kelsey), Kate Boston Melby (Shaun), Caroline Boston Vicini (David), Wyatt Boston (MaShaya), and Hallie Boston Hoffmeyer (Cameron); twelve great-grandchildren, Kenzie Bramel, Aunestie Smith, Emerie Smith, Davy Vicini, Monroe Melby, Warren Vicini, George Harrison Hoffmeyer, Anne Charles Vicini, Oliver Boston, Ford Melby, Clara Vicini, and Charlotte Hoffmeyer; one brother, Charles Beckum (June); one daughter-in-law, Lynn Mobbs; one brother-in-law, Edward Waufford; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 23, 2025, with Keith Durham officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
