traffic_fatality2JASPER-The ALEA reports a two vehicle crash at Alabama 69 where one woman perished on Wednesday, November 16:

“A two-vehicle crash at 4:08 p.m. today, Nov. 16, has claimed the life of a Florence woman. Lola Hamilton Bradford, 89, was killed when the 2001 Chevrolet Impala in which she was a passenger collided with a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.

Bradford, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead on the scene. The Impala’s driver, Laural Chandler, 67, of Jasper, was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. The Equinox’s driver, Marlena Lafaye Hand, 31, of Cullman, was also transported to a local hospital. Marlena Lafaye Hand was erroneously reported as being the driver of the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.  The correct driver is Terry Francis Bauer, 66, of Jasper.

The crash occurred on Alabama 69, near the 217 mile marker, 15 miles north of Jasper.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
