FAYETTE COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of a Florence woman:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:45 a.m. Friday, October 25, has claimed the life of a Florence woman.
Madalyn G. Powell, 28, was fatally injured when the 2009 Kia Rio she was driving left the roadway and struck a culvert. Powell was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 13 near the 237 mile marker, approximately seven miles north of Berry, in Fayette County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
