FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement regarding the arrest of a Florence woman who has been charged with Burglary and Theft charges today, Friday February 10:
“A local Woman Arrested and Charged Following Burglary; Stacey Renee Cossey, 43, of Florence was arrested this morning after she was caught on video burglarizing a local residence. Detectives credit great police work by Ofc. Ryan Kelly as being pivotal in this case. Ofc. Kelly responded to a burglary report in the 300 block of Eclipse Street on Thursday. Working with the victim, Ofc. Kelly located video of the alleged crime and identified Cossey as the suspect. Kelly later located Cossey and took her into custody without incident. Detectives are still working to locate the property in this case. Cossey was booked into the LCDC on Burglary and Theft charges. She is currently being held without bond.”
