Florence Shooting – One man in custody – Four hospitalized

FLORENCE POLICE REPORT – Early morning shooting leaves 4 in hospitals, one in police custody. Chauncey Laray Mitchell, 22, of Florence was arrested and charged with one count of Assault 1st, 3 counts of Assault 2nd, and Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle. Police responded to West Mobile Street shortly after 3am to a report of shots being fired. 3 of the 4 victims were treated and released at local hospitals. The 4th victim was being treated for his injuries as of this post. Mitchell is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
