Florence Police Report Robbery And Custodial Interference In Two Separate Cases Over Weekend

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning two cases with the department from the weekend.

“Officers responded to ECM ER, 1/20/2018 at approximant 10am, on a call of an assault that happened during the course of a robbery.

The Robbery occurred around 12:30am on 1/20/18. The victim stated that while at 108 S Richards Colos Vaughn and two other subjects assaulted him and took a large sum of cash. The victim then went back to his hotel room before going to the ER.

Detective and Officers with the FPD conducted a search warrant on S Richards, during the search warrant officers found a stolen firearm, out of Colbert Co, Drugs, and Drug Paraphernalia. Wanda and Tamara Wells, who both live at 108 S Richards, were charge with the items found inside the residence, both have bonded out of the Detention Center.

Colos Vaughn was charge with the Robbery, he is still in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.”

Tamara Wells Florence, AL Charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. $2,500.00 Bond.
Wanda J Wells Florence, AL Charges with Receiving Stolen Property 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. $3,000.00 Bond.


Shauntele S Calloway Florence, AL 14 Alias Warrants and Attempting to Elude

“On 1/21/2018 at 5:30pm officers received a call concerning a custodial interference in Carver Heights in West Florence.

When officers arrived it was reported that Shauntele Calloway came to a birthday party that her child was at and took him. Ms Calloway did not have custody of her child at this time and is only able to see her child while supervised.

At around 9pm officers were able to locate Ms Calloway and the child. The child has been returned to the guardians and DHR at this time.

Shauntele Calloway was arrested on 14 alias warrants. She could be facing Interfering with Child Custody, which is a Class C Felony.”
