FLORENCE-On August 2, 2024, at around 10:15 p.m., the Florence Police, Florence Fire, and Lifeguard EMS responded to a fatal crash on Helton Drive just north of Rickwood Road.
An 18-year-old named Jesse Christopher James from Muscle Shoals tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in a collision.
The incident occurred when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a vehicle entering the roadway from Helton Court. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to North Alabama Medical Center and received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Florence Police Department extends its deepest sympathies to the James family.
