Jermaine Antonio Todd
Sam’s Club loss prevention personnel were able to identify the suspects through security camera footage. Officers quickly located two males near a large Penske box truck, where they were observed loading merchandise. Both individuals were detained, and our Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene.

David Logan III
The investigation revealed that the suspects were using stolen credit card numbers and fraudulent Sam’s Club membership cards while mobile scanning items on their cell phones to make purchases. The suspects purchased approximately $9,600 worth of merchandise from Sam’s Club using credit/debit card fraudulently. It was further determined that these individuals are connected to a larger organized theft ring operating throughout the southeastern United States that target several big box retailers. Additional Sam’s Club locations in Huntsville, AL, and Southaven, MS, have also been targeted by this group. Jermaine Antonio Todd and James David Logan III are each charged with 5 counts of Fraudulent use of Credit/Debit Card and 1 count of Organized Retail Theft.
This is a significant arrest for our agency, and we commend our officers and detectives for their quick response in ensuring these suspects were taken into custody.
