Florence Police Arrest Suspect Wanted In August 13 Kidnapping

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a press release on the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with several Felony crimes including Kidnapping in the First Degree:

“On August 13, 2022, Officers from the Florence Police Department responded to a business in the 3100 block of Huntsville Road. Witnesses reported that a male had assaulted a female and forced his way into the vehicle she was driving. The victim was taken to a location in Franklin County. During the incident, Nicholas Boudoin was armed with a firearm.

             Detectives obtained warrants on Boudoin for Kidnapping in the 1st  degree, Domestic Violence 3rd degree (Assault 3rd degree), Domestic Violence 3rd degree (Reckless Endangerment), and Interference with a Domestic Violence Emergency Call.

            On August 16, officers attempted to serve Boudoin’s warrants at a Muscle Shoals business. An altercation took place, and Boudoin escaped.

            On September 7, Florence Police Detectives, with the assistance of the FBI’s North Alabama Violent Crimes Taskforce and Walker County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at a residence in Walker County, Alabama. Boudoin was taken into custody, and evidence was recovered. Boudoin was returned to Lauderdale County. He is currently held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center with a $75,000 bond.

            The Florence Police Department would like to thank the FBI’s North Alabama Violent Crimes Taskforce and Walker County Sheriff’s Office for assistance with this case.
