Florence Police Arrest Suspect On Rape Charges Against A Juvenile

FLORENCE-On February 10, 2024, Florence Police began investigating the report of a rape involving a juvenile victim. The investigation identified Daprecas Perkins, 27, of Florence, as a suspect.

Detectives were able to gather additional evidence to support the issuance of an arrest warrant for Perkins for the charge of first-degree rape. Officers arrested Perkins on April 2, 2024. Perkins is currently being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center without bail.

Daprecas Perkins is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
