Florence Police Arrest Suspect For Assaulting His Brother

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect on charges of Assault 2nd Degree as well as several other domestic related charges:

“On the evening of February 10, 2024, Florence Police responded to the 200 block of Baker Drive to the report of a domestic incident. During the investigation, it was revealed that Michael Hayth, 42, had struck his brother in the head with a power tool. The 28-year-old victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Hayth was charged with Assault 2nd, Menacing, Harassment, and Criminal Mischief 2nd. He was released after posting a $3,500 bond.

Michael Hayth is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
