Florence Morrow Barton, age 90 of Gardendale, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Murphy Medical Center. She was a native of Walker County. Florence was a homemaker and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church in Cordova. She was the wife of the late Othnia Whit Barton and the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Carrie Shubert Morrow.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Hunters Chapel Cemetery. Mark Lockhart and Don Graham will officiate.
She was preceded in death by her Brothers-Lawrence Morrow and H.D. Morrow; Sister-Rachel Wells.
She is survived by her Daughter-Duronda Hood and husband Al of Murphy, NC; Son-Rickey Barton and wife Marcie of Gardendale; Grandchildren-Christie Turner (Rob), Beth Grove (Bill), Brent Barton (Courtney) and Zac Kennedy; Great Grandchildren-Will, Alli and Kenzie Grove, Lauren, Sarah and Robert Turner and Amelia Barton; Sister-Orlane Kennedy of Jasper.
