FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with Theft of Property 1st Degree:
“In September 2022, Charles Moore Jr. of Florence deposited a fraudulent check that exceeded $2500.00 in an account at a local financial institution. The funds were quickly spent from the account. The check failed to clear and was returned. Moore failed to repay the funds.
Florence Police Department Detectives investigated the incident and obtained a warrant for Theft of Property in the First Degree. On November 21, 2022, officers with the Florence Department arrested Moore on the warrant without incident.
Moore is innocent until proven guilty.”
