FLORENCE-On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Agents with the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a residence on the 1200 block of Graham Avenue in Florence, Alabama. The search warrant was obtained due to the drug dealing activities of one of the occupants in the residence. The Florence/Lauderdale SWAT Team made entry into the residence.
During a search of the property, agents located approximately 12 grams of Crack Cocaine, controlled prescription drugs,

firearms and drug paraphernalia consistent for using and distributing drugs. The approximate street value of the Crack Cocaine is $2,000.
Julius Simpson, 49, of Florence, AL was charged with the following:
-Unlawful possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute (cocaine)
-Unlawful possession of controlled substance (3 counts)
-Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
-Certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm
