FLORENCE-Florence-Lauderdale Public Library is hosting a premiere event for Steve Trash Science, the new public television show hosted by local performer and environmental educator Steve Trash. The event will be in the children’s area of the library on Saturday, June 15, beginning at 9:30 am.
Steve Trash Science will air Saturday mornings at 10 am on Alabama Public Television. In each episode, Steve Trash will perform a magic trick and talk about a science topic in a fun and engaging way, geared toward grades 3-5. For the library’s premiere event, Steve will greet the crowd and introduce the show, perform a trick, take photos with fans and sign autographs. Plus, families will have the opportunity to watch the first episode of Steve Trash Science along with the star of the show! There will be copies of Steve’s book The Magic of Ecology, published by Renaissance Valley Publishing, available for purchase for $10 each.
Steve Trash, known as the Rockin’ Eco Hero, has entertained over 25 million people since 1984. He has performed around the world, has appeared on national television networks and has been written about in major newspapers, including the New York Times and Los Angeles Times. In addition to airing on Alabama Public Television, Steve Trash Science is being made available to public television stations nationwide.
