FLORENCE-A public library’s mission is to serve its community, and today, the best way we can serve our community is to keep it safe.

Therefore, FLPL will close at 4:00 pm today (Monday, March 16) and will remain closed until further notice.

Feel free to come in this afternoon to check out books and movies for your family. We’ll be loosening the restrictions on the number of items that can be checked out, so you’ll be able to stock up for this period of social distancing. We won’t be accepting returns while we’re closed, and there will be no fines charged on any items. Additionally, we are canceling all programs and community meetings in our meeting spaces for March and April.

Watch our emails, social media, and website for updates. We will continue to serve you by providing links to important information, reminders about our digital services, and more.
