Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services Wises All Shelter Dogs A HAPPY DOGUST 1ST!

FLORENCE-Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services is teaming up with North Shore Animal League America to celebrate DOGust 1^st®, the official birthday for all rescue dogs, with week-long adoption specials.

From Thursday, August 1 through Wednesday, August 7, Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services will be offering $35.00 Adoption Fees on dogs & cats.  Plus, on Thursday, August 1^st they’ll have food trucks and vendors on site. For more information, visit FLORENCE-LAUDERDALE ANIMAL SERVICES

Since the actual dates of birth for most rescued dogs are unknown, North Shore Animal League America created DOGust 1^st to celebrate rescue dogs (those adopted and those awaiting loving homes.) Since 2008, this day has been designated to honor the incredible impact they make on our lives. Shelter partners and rescue groups across the country take part in the DOGust 1^st celebration.

This year, DOGust 1^st is presented nationwide by Scooter’s Coffee® who believe in the importance animal rescue, adoption, and building families. This partnership includes franchises hosting DOGust 1^st birthday parties, the creation of limited-edition Birthday PAWTY beverages with 10% of the proceeds benefiting Animal League America, and funding grants to select participating shelter partners to continue their life-saving work.
